Paid subscriptions will help me create more original content more frequently. Subs = more interviews, more reviewing, more substantial essays. Arts and culture journalism is all but gone in Canada. Until it returns to the legacy media, we’ll have to find ways to write about what’s important on the alternative media like Substack and the podcasting platforms. If it does not return, well — then we together are the arts and culture media of the future.
