There were probably many I could think about if I took the time, but I certainly hope she included Borden's milk on Spadina crescent just north of college St. The big old building on the east side of the street is still there I believe. After visiting the boys and girls house at the main library at St. George we would walk to Borden's and get an ice cream treat.
Was this a big dairy with their own store? I think there's a poutine place and a Tim Hortons on that corner now, but I never paid attention to the building; will take a good look next time.
Lydia Borden's was a block and a half north of college. I think it's part of U of T now. At the corner of college then for many years was Tip Top Tailors retail store.

ahh the TTT! Their art deco building near Lakeshore is spectacular. Those lofts must be going for million+ now.
